For sale is a restored and working Rek-O-Kut Rondine Deluxe turntable with the much sought-after Ashland motor.
The turntable has been restored with a service that included: new idler wheel and rubber motor mount grommets installed, cleaned and re-lubricated spindle bearing, main ball bearing replaced, cleaned and re-lubricated speed control, disassembly, cleaned, and realignment of motor, and speed adjusted for 33 RPM discs. (User will have to adjust speed for 45 and 78s.)
Once warm, the motor runs quietly with a very small amount of rumble. After about an hour of play, the table is almost completely silent.
Someone mounted an SME tonearm at some point, but one can get an SME-style sled and mount your own arm, or mount over the top of the hole. A dust arm was also glued to the top plate. That has been removed but there is still a shadow where it was attached. (See photo.) The large wooden plinth comes with the sale. No dustcover. I did install an arm for testing and found the sound very lively and engaging.
