1977 Ford Escort RS2000 Mk2
Photographic Historic Restoration
HPI Clear
Very Desirable Model
Fundamentally Very Solid
A surefire Classic Investment
Purpose-made resto folder crammed with paperwork/photos, etc. This 1977 Ford Escort RS2000 is finished in a vibrant and period-correct orange livery, which pairs nicely with the brown cloth Custom interior.
As you can no doubt see from the photos above this very desirable 70`s Ford classic is an absolute beauty to the eye. She comes to the new owner with an absolute mountain of paperwork, including a full photographic record of the restoration. Even the underside is in colour.
In general the restoration has held up well. Yes, you will obviously find paint and body imperfections here and there, and I am not claiming she is visually/cosmetically perfect, but she is a stunner nevertheless.
The interior appears to be in great condition, the brown cloth seats and fishnet headrests are complete and in very good condition having been recently refurbished. The dashboard and door cards also appear in fine fettle with only the headlining showing one or two splits. I have some new material I will give FOC to the new owner if you decide to do it at a later stage.
The 2.0 Pinto engine appears to be fully operational, as is the car as a whole. It starts, steers and stops well. We have taken it for a short drive around our farm and it did not present any worthwhile concernable issues whatsoever. Please note our Terms and Conditions while bidding when it comes to the roadworthiness of our vehicles.
From experience I know these cars can really select out the dreamers and time-wasters among us, so if you need permission from your partner, cat, or dog, require a bank loan, or to part-ex/sell your car first, require your mechanic to "check it over", or just need to do some research on this or any other example, then PLEASE do all this before bidding as opposed to making up your own Terms and Conditions after you`ve won the auction.
The reserve has been set comparatively low considering what they are being advertised and sold for on here. It`s here to be sold, likewise on our website, so it will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis so sit back at your peril. If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I`m sure it could be sorted between you, ourselves, and eBay.
