A must have book for any fan of late the 1700's/Ohio/Indian/Frontier.

Allan Eckert is (was, he died in 2011) a legendary Ohio author.  With his writings of the "west" as the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. area was known back in the 1700's,  Eckert had a gift of being able to tell his story and weave in the factual history of the area.

Tributes bestowed upon Eckert by the Ohioana Library Association included the selection of The Frontiersmen as Ohioans’ favorite book about Ohio or an Ohioan. Eckert was selected as Ohio’s Overall Favorite Ohio Writer of All Time.  ALL of his books are outstanding and "The Frontiersmen - A Narrative" is the best of the bunch.

If you are a fan of history and/or the Ohio Valley and what really happened, this is a must read.
