1976 Libbey Green Glass USA Bicentennial 1776-1976 Commemorative 5 Gallon Milk Can or Jug Rarely seen in this color, this 5 gallon milk can is a product of Libbey Glass Co. and was made in 1976 to commemorate the 200th birthday of the USA. It was molded in high relief was special edition item #97006A. It has a nice Avocado Green color and stands 18-1/2" tall with base diameter of 11" and mouth diameter of 5-1/4". It is very heavy at about 13-15 pounds. Truly a great collectors' item! The well detailed design features a bold embossed BICENTENNIAL Spread Eagle with Stars circling around top and bottom. Has a 5-gallon capacity, making it perfect for display or storage. This jug is a must-have for any bottle or insulator collector.
