Rookwood signed Z line, hand-thrown vase with faintly visible concentric ribbing.  Impressed mark underneath, which indicates the year 1900, and the Form 2 Z.  The vase is about 5 and 1/8 inch vase high, and has a maximum diameter in the upper center of just under 3 and 1/2 inches.  I would characterize the color as matte green with a slight sheen.  No chips, cracks or repairs.  This is an early piece at the start of the arts & crafts movement, a nice addition to any collection from that formative period.  I have tried to show the vase in different lighting situations and backgrounds, all outside in natural light.
