I had to pinch myself when I first saw this.

Never had I seen one through my 3 decades in the old radio hobby… A custom ordered radio that was in one of the rooms of San Francisco’s historic landmark Hotel Sir Francis Drake!

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “It came with a grand marble lobby, radios in all 600 guest rooms” and here is one of them! The fabled and luxurious hotel was built in 1928 and renamed the Beacon Grand in 2022.

This brown 1954 Arvin 760T is in good working condition, missing the back cover. No chips or cracks, just a few minor scratches.

It turns on, tunes and sounds wonderful.
