This is a lovely WW1 Officer’s original Compass with the Government Arrow dated 1918. On the front of the case it has the Government Arrow and under that has its makers mark which is Terrasse W & Co, under that is VI (compass type and model) and under 88177 (serial number) under that is 1918. (See photos)

The compass comes out of the case, in the event of the compass being broken during WW1, it could have been replaced if necessary , still using the original case.

There is some luminous paint missing on the arrow (see photos) due to its age and the button to open the case is a little tight but is still working.

The compass is in working order.

Thank you for looking.
