Ultra rare Yugoslavian M39 "Cacak" helmet from World War II

Information about this rare helmet are scarce, and few documentation exist. The "M39" was produced for a brief time until the German invasion of Yugoslavia in 1941 in the city of Čačak in modern day Serbia

The helmet itself is a copy of the Czecholovakian VZ32, but with several differences. The paint is grey vs khaki, the chinstrap rivet is smaller and lacks washer under the rivet holding the chinstrap loops

The helmet also shows Serbian writings in cyrillic alphabet as well as several, one of which reads "Cacak".

Photographic evidence suggests this helmet was also used by the Serbian Volunteers Corps
