This is a very stylish and quality Victorian sugar bowl / basket with swing handle, in the Georgian style.

Made in solid sterling silver, as can be seen with the Sheffield assay office hallmark for 1888 and the makers mark H.S for Henry Stratford Ltd.

The piece is in overall good antique condition for the age and polishes to a very nice shine as you can see. There is a small bruise to the base as you can see and a few hard to see dings. Do remember this is an antique piece so do not expect it to look new. The images also form part of the description.

The basket measures approximately 14 cms in length, with a width of 8 cms and height of 15.5 cms to the top of the handle.

The total weight of the silver is approximately 155g.

This would make a lovely quality and unusual gift for someone, which can still be admired and enjoyed today.
