This was a desk box found in a 1913 Great Lakes Estate and had sealing wax and a Mother of Pearl was stamp with the owner's initials on it.

Medieval/Gothic was a very popular style during the Art Nouveau period and sand casting was a popular technique to achieve the archaic aesthetic so desired. This example is imperfect adding to its hand made appeal. Dimensions 6"x3"x3".

The box has a lift out tray will three compartments, two covered by hinged flaps with crossed designs similar to rustic doors.

The item will be sent USPS within one business day of payment.
