Vintage 1960’s 1970’s The Design Centre London Wooden Toy Train Children’s Toy

A vintage toy train with a whole lot of character and would make a great gift for any child!

An interesting decorative item for display and a cool toy all in one!

There are three stackable carriages that sit on top of each other for easy, tidy storage

The front carriage has a ratcheted front wheel that makes a great clicking noise as the train moves forward and gives a realistic sound!

The carriages join together by magnets

The front chimney part of the front carriage, lifts off for extra storage inside

Finished in varnished natural plywood with cute red wheels and red internal floors

Originally purchased from the London Design Centre, it still has its original triangular sticker to the front

This train is in good, clean working order and can be played with and enjoyed. Please look at pictures carefully for condition, there are scratches and marks from use, it has great vintage patina and wear!

There is a crack, to the back of the front carriage, which can be seen in the last picture. This does not effect the train being enjoyed or used, as it’s only a crack in the wood, it’s still strong and secure
