On offer, here, is a fantastic, vintage, early 1980s canvas Billingham system 4 camera bag. This model was superseded by the 220 which, in turn, was superseded by the 225 which has a current R.R.P. of £405 !
The leather fittings have a beautifully worn-in look and zips are all working. The color of both the canvas and the leather fitments is really sumptuous. Includes an SP50 leather shoulder pad (R.R.P.£42)
Inside the main compartment there is a removable wood and foam base with movable foam dividers. I never used the dividers. You'll see from the pictures that you can remove blanks from the foam base to put the dividers where you want them, then glue them in place with a suitable adhesive for foam.
External measurements, roughly : L12" x W9" x H7"
One small hole in the bottom of a front pocket. No problem . . . don't put small stuff in there. I've never had anything smaller than a lens or a flashgun in there and nothing has ever fallen through it. Also, former owner's details crossed out in black on rear of small flap.
I've loved using this bag and it's always had admiring comments from one and all. I'm sure that a keen, discerning photographer of any age will be equally delighted to own & use it today. It has the sort amazing of 'lived in' colours and patina that only time and careful use can truly create. A totally fabulous bag to own and enjoy !
