1930's Baldwin mfg Clucking hen on nest with 5 wooden eggs.

Hen has the tin rust spots on handle and body and down the chute.  she works great but don't know if she had the knob on the handle or if that was a later addition to the toy, but there is no knob.  She could use a good cleaning as well.  IT IS THE 5 WOODEN PAINTED EGGS THAT ARE beyond scarce and probably worth more then the Hen herself.  She clucks when wound and the chute spring works for the egg coming out of the nest.  Extremely rare find working with her 5 eggs.  

Made in the 1930s by Baldwin Manufacturing of Brooklyn, NY, this hen is 5.75" long by 2.50" wide by 4.75" tall. The chicken/egg combination was very popular and represented a welcome departure from the basic Baldwin line, that specialized in Pre-WWII Military shooting games and cannons, ships & planes; all with the common thread of shooting. Well known Baldwin products were Air Defense (military board game, 1939); Coast Defense Gun; Coast Artillery Cannon; Par-A-Shoot Target Game (1940); U.S. Aircraft Carrier; Victory; Sink the Invader (1941); and Aerial Bomber (military board game, 1942).
