Vintage LEGO Set #585 Police HQ (1976) with Instructions / Box Cover. 

See photos and note the following:

 - This set has one owner (me) and has been stored in my home (no smoking or pets).

 - The instructions has some tape along the creases where the paper has been folded.  

 - The box cover shows some wear from age (creasing and slight discoloring).  See close up photo for reference.  Please note:  I just have the box cover, not the inside box.

I put this set together for the photos used in the auction.  There is 1 missing piece and 1 replaced piece (2 pieces in total).

 - On the box cover photo, you will see a street sign with the word "Police" in the lower left corner.  In the photos of the set for sale, you will see the street sign post, but the flag with the word "Police" is missing.

 - On the helipad roof, the "1" uses one 1x4 yellow tile (the original set used two 2x2 flat yellow tiles).

The police van in the photos on the box has black doors in the back.  This set for sale has yellow doors.  This is how this set was stored from years ago.  I am not sure if the yellow doors are correct, or if they are replacements.

All pieces are in good shape.  As the majority of this set is made of white bricks, there is some wear or scratches due to prior use and play as well as storage over time, but as you see in the photos, the set can be built.  I took some close up photos of the set so you can see the condition of these bricks a little better.

 - Includes 2 mini figures, 2 police motorcycles, two cars and one police helicopter.
