At auction is this original pressing of "HELLO GOODBYE / I AM THE WALRUS" by The Beatles on Capitol Records (2056) from October 27, 1967. The disc is about Near Mint (NM or M-), some slight scuffs that don't affect play (see photo) and the sleeve is Excellent (EX), some slight wear. There is some writing on one side of the label.

This is the first pressing, probably from Scranton, PA.  It has the orange and yellow swirl label without "subsidiary" on the rim text. The first pressings credit "Maclen Music, Inc" as publisher on both sides. After Capitol discovered that the publishing for the "Magical Mystery Tour" songs, including "Walrus" had been assigned to "Comet Music Corporation", labels were revised to reflect the correct publisher.

The picture sleeve features a Henry Grossman color portrait of the Beatles in their new psychedelic look. The sleeve for the East Coast pressings has a straight cut top.

This item is perfect for fans of The Beatles.
