ignore how many of the world's finest perceived vintage and ANTIQUE wrist watches with virtually identical physical constraints are presumed quite capable - yet have zero shock protection for many years.

Changing a broken balance staff, or smoothing battered staff pivots is a PITA for many, but, this unit is larger than many commonly serviced - and easier when that day arrives.
