~ Beautiful and very typical Georgian mourning ring

~ Engraving features a very touching tribute to a young woman, Esther Potts, lost at the age of 19 years in 18--

~ Elegant, bifurcated shoulders

~ Closed back

~ Rose gold colour, purity to be determined but likely a minimum of 9 carats


Gemstones

~ Classic Georgian pie crust setting or pinched collet set natural split pearls

~ Flat cut cabochon, possibly almandine garnet

~ 12 natural split pearls (1 missing) in a 'halo' arrangement around the central gemstone

~ Condition: please see photos. One seed pearl is missing and one slightly damaged. The main gemstone is scratched. The ring would benefit from a professional clean and restoration in order to bring it back to its original beauty.
