Selling my much loved Morris Minor 1000.

I've not owned this car for long and bought it as my first classic car and project, I would love to keep it especially in time for the summer but a new project forces this sale. When I bought it she was running a little rough, lacking power and virtually had no brakes. This has now all been sorted.

The top half of the engine was opened up and had the following done.

Cylinder bores and block all inspected and cleaned of carbon.

Head gasket, rocker cover, manifold gasket all replaced.

Valve clearances adjusted

Thermostat and housing replaced

New spark plugs, HT leads and ignition coil.

Carburetor rebuilt

Oil and air filters replaced

Brake cylinders replaced all round

Brakes shoes replaced all round

Brake Lines and coolant flushed.

All the work has been carried out by myself, I have invoices of parts purchased from East Sussex Minors.

She starts, goes, stops and is great fun to drive, she turns lots of heads and has such character. considering it's 58 years old, the all-round condition is remarkable. There are of course some flaws, such as some rust patches here and there, and some pitting on the chrome work. If you're a perfectionist maybe painting the wheels at some point wouldn't hurt. Now remember, we all have different opinions on condition so I would highly recommend viewing before committing to buy.

Should you have any questions or would like any more pictures please feel free to ask!

Remember this is a classic car so it won't drive like a new Rolls Royce and I will not offer any guarantees, warranties or returns. You are bidding to buy! Cash or bank transfer accepted.
