The stamps are in mint condition, never used, and brand new to commemorate the Underground Railroad and honor 10 of the men and women who escaped slavery and/or helped others escape.  Each stamp in the issuance features one of the brave individuals in a sepia-toned portrait and eight bold lines of text in shades of brown set against a white background.
