Antique Hungarian Pre-War Large Wall Plate Dish Enamel Ware from Budafok painted by Mano Boskovitz Large Plate. I felt rather mesmerized by this object - a large Hungarian Pre-War Plato Enamel Ware from Budafok hand painted by Mano Boskovitz, Large Plate. It is very unusual, not something I have come across before and initially I thought the painted scene is of Persian origin. The scene features grazing deer family by the water stream on the plain with forest and mountains in the background. The enamel is applied in thick layers that gives the whole picture rather elevated textures feeling. On the reverse the plate has a loop for hanging and the signature "Boskovitz Mano" and "Budafok". It is almost 49 cm in diameter and very heavy - almost 1.4 kg. I have photo-cataloged all the damage the plate currently has, please have a good look at the photos, the damage is mostly on the rim, the enamel is chipped off exposing the metal. It is a very unique and rare object, the price includes world wide postage. It is a very unique and rare object, the price includes economy world wide postage.
