This 89-piece silverplated flatware set from Holmes & Edwards features the popular Danish Princess pattern from the 20th century.  I suspect from the late '40s or 50's or 60's since the knives have "stainless" on the blades. The set includes 12 place settings & extra serving pieces.  The case is original with Holmes & Edwards logo, but you decide if you want the case or not for cutting shipping costs.  The case exterior has a lot to be desired cosmetically as shown in the picture, but the interior has a lining that prevent/retards the tarnishing aspects of silverplate.  All the pieces need a good cleaning, but the INLAID feature of the silverplating on the more often used pieces (forks, spoons, soup spoons) has prevented deterioration of normal silverplating.  One of the knives has a "bend" in the stainless part where it appears as if it was used to pry open something.  You will see pictures of my trying to capture the ding/blem on the one knife.  The set is perfect for special occasions or everyday use, though unsure how dishwasher safe it would be for everyday use.  Was owned by grandmother of my son-in-law, who has no desire to keep the item.  His loss.  I have no room for it myself.  Your gain.
