Who's La Lechuza?  She is the legendary Mexican/Southwestern shapeshifting witch who borrows  wiles (predatory and erotic)  from owls and other night creatures.  She whistles and calls late at night.  Follow her at your own risk: she has special dark treats for men, women and children.   Her eyes are always alive, and they follow you in the paintings.
