This is rather rare and  high quality CD player, made Sansui  in Belgium on the beginning of CD Era - nearly 35 years ago, but remains workable

The Player was carefully restored and modified.  The key modification is tube output stage providing signal conversion and amplification directly from TDA 1541 a dac chip output.

No semiconductors or electrolytic capacitors left in signal path.

This modification was developed to improve sound quality and found very successful by buyers in our previous projects. 

General condition
The player is in  good cosmetic and fully working condition. Its mechanism is working silently and is stable in operation, reads all CD and CD-R with random access in less than 3 sec.  The player is supplied with a replacement   remote control and quality mains cable, in original packaging as shown in pictures.
Short  technical description.
Excellent quality Sansui X211 is a classical audiophile player made with the very best parts available at its time - the famous TDA 1541a DAC,

 possibly the most musical dac chip ever made,  and equally famous Philips CDM 4 swing arm laser mechanism, the perfect technical match to the dac.

The player  is reputed not only for its original high sound capabilities, but as well as object to many successful upgrades, leading to even better sonic performance.

The original DAC board of the player was modified extensively, in particular aged electrolytic capacitors are replaced with much better quality ones

 
Key modification is the tube output stage. It is made by replacement of operational amplifiers with valve based output stage . Tubes are 6N2Pi Russian subminiature output triodes in their best EV "MIL" spec., capable for low output impedance and very low noise and distortions. Tube stage is made with high quality components as well, like audiophile grade polypropylene output capacitors.

There are still options for further upgrade if successful bidder would be interested.

This modification by fitting ultra low jitter oscillator directly to dac board is offered as after auction option. 

3.Power cable can be replaced to  IEC power socket with noise and interference filter, this allows to use the player with high grade power cables.

The player can be wired for either 220-240 or 110-120 V mains, please just indicate what voltage you need.
Item is fully tested and return is accepted within 2 week after delivery and exclusively in shape as it was shipped, i.e. perfect working condition. In this case 100% of auction price and shipment cost will be refunded. Return of nonworking, damaged or scratched item is not accepted and will be not refunded. Return shipment cost is on Buyer’s side.
