Everyone deserves a Grail Pen Box to display & hold your grail pens.   Mine was this French Burl Wood with Brass Inlaid Cigar Box c 1880 used to display and store 36 of my collection.  I still kept some in their original presentation cases (i.e., Montegrappa’s America’s Cup and Visconti’s Divina Proporzione) but many older vintage pens were stored and displayed here.  The key lock works.  Closed It is 11 ½ x 8 ½ x 7 ½ high.  Each tray (3) is 10 x 6 with 12 slots.  The bottom drawer is 1 ½” tall and easily fits magnifying glass, gloves and nick knacks.  The very bottom of the case has a crack when I purchased it in 2006 and I decided to leave as found and not repair it.  To note – it has NOT been restored.

Pens over 6” in length will have a little overhang but will still display and the case will close without issue.  For comparison I have loaded up one of the trays with some pens that will be auctioned later.  The Armando Simoni has the most overhang but again the case closes and locks without any problem.
