Guan Shanyue (October 25, 1912- July 3, 2000), originally named Guan Zepei, was born in Yangjiang, Guangdong in 1912. Famous Chinese painter and educator. Representative figures of Lingnan Painting School. He once studied under the founder of the Lingnan Painting School, Gao Jianfu. In 1948, he was appointed as a professor at Guangzhou Art College. After 1958, he served as a professor and dean of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, president of Guangdong Art School, and president of Guangdong Academy of Painting. Vice Chairman and Executive Director of China Artists Association, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Artists Association.
