This vintage Eico HF-87 EL34 stereo tube amplifier is a true gem for any audiophile. Now that the AI has spoken. Let’s get into the details. This was tested by a friend. Who said it fired up and works. But could do with a super good and detailed cleaning. He had a tube replacement for the broken one. Pictures show the condition of this piece and at least exterior. Only 1 tube is burned out/ broken the others seem to be good. All the paint is there and stamped numbers and information is all there and I’m good shape/ legible.

This piece came from an audio files house, older gentleman in his 80’s who passed away. It was an estate sale pickup and came out of a back shed that was hidden way in the back corner with some other pieces. Wife said he used all his stuff and as pieces got smaller and easier his need for audio perfection became less and less necessary so this piece went further back. It was covered in dust and all I did was clean the dirt off, ask a friend to test and that’s it.

As you can see from the pictures, the amp is in overall good shape. But, I didn’t personally test it. So… THIS AMP IS BEING SOLD “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY GUARANTEES OR GUARANTEE IT WORKS. I am not en expert and you are buying this with no promises it works.

That all being said, if it works as I was told. You’re getting a $1500+ amp for whatever the auction closes out at. I’m starting the auction off low so the market sets the value.
