Here are some useful tips that are good know:
1.AVOID THE ENGINE
-Don’t route a wire directly on the surface of your engine; the heat will melt its plastic cover.
2.EXTEND TO LONGER SPOTS
- It’s very flexible to install LED strips on your vehicles, and vehicles have many different sizes. For this reason, it’s difficult to design a wire perfect for each single case.
- If you are working on something like a trailer behind your bike, you will need longer extension wires. In that case, feel free to contact DITRIO and we will be happy to help you (the longest extension we have ever helped is 12ft).
3.CONTACT DITRIO IF CONNECTORS ARE WRONG
- Each extension wire has a male fast locking connector on one end and a female one on the other end. There is no a universal standard for these connectors, and each maker prefers their way.
- If you have a kit from another brand and you find those connectors are not compatible, please contact DITRIO and we will make it right for you.
Last but not least, if you have some great ideas, feel free to try and we will always give you support!
Work with RGB LED Strips: If your strips have wires with the same 4-pin male and female fast locking connectors, this is a package with correct connectors to consider.
Extend and Expand: This package comes with extension cords and splitters. It is more flexible for your install. Divide a wire into 2 ways – extend from there or possible to add one more LED strip.
Extend to Front Wheels & Other Spots: If you want to use 2 short strips as fork illuminators, take 2 pcs of 24inch extension and they will do for most cases; combine 2 2feet to make a 4feet for longer spots.
Compatible with DITRIO’s LED Kit: If you have a LED kit from DITRIO and need extension pigtail wires, this is the perfect package with correct connectors, will NOT have an issue about wrong connectors or colors.
USE ELECTRICAL GREASE: If you ride a lot in the rain, it will be good to use electrical grease to seal those 4 pin fast locking connectors, which will increase service hours.
