Watch: Omega Afghanistan Airforce 135.00011 Cal.601
Stock Number: CHW5485
Price: £895.00

An unusual version of the Omega 135.0011 dating to the mid 1960's, this Calibre 601 Omega has the case back signed with the Afghanistan Airforce insignia.

These watches were supplied to the Afghanistan air force in either steel or gold filled like this one. These watches were generally issued to officers and pilots as dress watches

A huge amount of these watches did not survive the harsh environment of the Afghan climate and so very few exist that are in original condition as many that did survive will have been refinished.

This example is in original condition as can be seen by the dial and due to its low production run and rarity is worthy of any collection.

Caliber 601 manual wind movement signed Omega. 34mm gold filled case with steel backplate. Plexiglass.

Silvered dial that has discoloured naturally over the years with gold baton hour markers and hands, sweeping red seconds hand. Dial signed 'Seamaster 600'. Condition as shown is clearly worn and discoloured but original. Crown appear original case shows marks and scratches consistent with age but nothing considerable to take away from the watch.

Fitted to unsigned black croc leather strap with steel buckle.

In closing, rare original military watch with original off set stamping on caseback not the prettiest by by far but one of the rarest low issue watches in the military arena. In fine working order we have left this watch unpolished.
