An entertaining yet thought-provoking game of strategy for adults and older children, cathedral is based on the concept of a medieval city surrounded by a wall. It symbolizes the development of a city in the way that chess symbolizes a battle.

Each player has a set of pieces representing buildings which they will attempt to place within the walls of the city. Parts of the city may be claimed by a player for his own pieces and opponents pieces may be captured.

The winner is the player who gets the most pieces on the board and a game usually last 15 to 20 minutes.

One of the best games of strategy on the market. Cathedral can be learned in a few minutes by the average person yet take years to master. It is a game that should be in every family’s collection. It is also an attractive conversation piece for your coffee table or bookshelf.
