Coca Cola was invented by Dr.John Pemberton in 1885 at Pemberton's Eagle Drug and Chemical House, his drugstore in Columbus, GA, and originally registered as Pemberton's French Wine Coca nerve tonic. Therefore it was only fitting that the newly conceived plastic can would be bottled and test marketed during Coca Cola’s Centennial from October 1985 through March 1986 at its birthplace in Columbus, GA.

The body of this can is made of recyclable plastic and features an aluminium top with a pull tab and a clear round window through which its contents are visible. The can has never been opened and contains 12 oz. of Coca Cola Classic, but, age has obviously allowed the carbonation to escape and given the can a sucked-in appearance.

The short 6-month testing period for Coca Cola in plastic cans, makes this hard to find item highly collectible and a wonderful addition to your Coke memorabilia. Enjoy!
