Maker: This exquisite cabinet bowl was made in Germany by the legendary porcelain firm Schumann.

Design: It's in one of Schumann's many wonderful patterns based on the classic Dresden Flowers or Deutsche Blumen design. Beautiful multicolored flowers are surrounded by a gold-trimmed band of reticulation, or piercing, against a pure white fine porcelain backdrop.

Age: The blue Schumann crown and lion mark on the reverse - with no words other than the Schumann name - was in use in the 1920s. Source: efineantiques.com.

Condition: There are no marks, nicks, cracks, stains, discoloration or repairs. There is a spot of light wear on the inner band - it's shown in the photos with the red arrow - and a small chip on the rim. That too is shown in the photos but of course it's not visible when the bowl is on display.

Size: The bowl is 5 3/4 inches wide, 1 5/8 inches tall and weighs 5.1 ounces.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
