Vintage French Counter Sign, Paris Bank 1969, "Guichet Ferme'" VG Condition Rare.
  Acquired this in Paris, France in 1969. Actual counter sign from an actual French bank, "Guichet Ferme'" means, in English, "Counter Closed". This sign is made of plastic, clear frame, red lettering on a grey metallic background. The lettering is engraved/carved into the back of the sign. Some signs of age, but no cracks, chip, deep scratches, etc. The red lettering has some fading on some spots of some letters, see photos. All in all, in remarkable condition for a sign that is 55 years old! The sign measures 10.75' wide, 2.5' high, and is 1.5' deep at deepest point. The main face of the sign is .25' deep. It weighs 3 ounces. Great display piece, rare. A real French original from the '60's!
