Round Speaker Wire Terminal Cup Gold Plated Spring Type 8 AWG Capacity Polarity Marked with Mounting Hardware

Don’t settle for cheap knock offs – manufactured by a leader in speaker building, these industry professional terminal cups are commonly used in building car audio speaker cabinets and enclosures.  Made of durable injection molded ABS, they resist cracking and warping, and the springs are completely housed, meaning less chance of them collecting debris or coming out when installing your system.  The red and black wire inserts are gold plated, and accept standard audio speaker wire up to 8 gauge; the polarities are clearly marked.  The metal spade connectors (backside of terminal) are also gold plated, and come bolted on from the factory with an applied thread lock; they can accept wires welded straight to the terminal, or wires fitted with standard 1/4" (6.3mm) female spade wire connectors.  The rim has a foam backing, providing sound & vibration control (when mounted correctly, sound won’t hiss or vibrate from the terminal seal.) Does not come in pairs.  This is a single unit, though hardware is included!

Installation guidelines

• Mounting (hole cutout) diameter: >1-7/8” (do not cut larger than 2")
• Hardware pattern diameter (diagonal distance): 2-1/2" on center
• Outer diameter: 2 15/16” (at least 3” footprint recommended)
• Mounting depth clearance: 1.5” (at least 2" recommended)

Terminal cup should freely sit into the cut-out hole.  If it requires force or otherwise gets stuck, widen the hole.  (If you cut the hole exaclty 1-7/8”, the cup won’t fit.)

Screws - for best results, drill 3/32" holes to a depth of no more than 5/8" before screwing in hardware.  Tighten screws by hand.  Cracks or splitting may occur otherwise.
