MCM Bellini for Rosenthal Netter Cylindrical Vase
Made in Italy
1960s

This rare piece of vintage Italian pottery was made by Bellini and exported by Rosenthal Netter.

Bellini artisans built this piece by hand on a pottery wheel, then hand painted it with saturated turquoise, blues, and greens in a fish scale motif. The color palette and design sensibilities are similar to those of Bitossi Pottery of the same era.

Although I have found other pieces of Bellini pottery (often misidentified as Bitossi / Raymor) painted in this same motif, I have not seen another vase like this one.

This vase is large enough to function as an umbrella holder or a floor vase, as well as a table vase.
