For sale is a Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans Mark 2. This is an original Coburn & Hughes bike with supporting paperwork. I am selling this on behalf of a friend who has owned the bike since 1987 and bought it with 12K miles. It has been in full time occasional use since then. The bike has 25254 Miles which is believed to be genuine.

The bike is in good condition having benefited from the following:

2023

Work performed by a Moto Guzzi Specialist:

·      New Battery

·      All frame parts dismantled, repainted and bike reassembled and serviced. Oil changed in front forks and new rear shocks fitted

2022

Rear bevel box rebuilt with new seals by a Moto Guzzi specialist

2015

Work performed by a Moto Guzzi specialist:

·      Timing chain and tensioner replaced

·      Head gaskets replaced

·      Carburetors serviced and new rubber mounts fitted

·      Fuel taps and pipes replaced

·      Front exhausts pipes and gaskets replaced

·      Charging system and Mistral electronic ignition systems checked for correct operation

2008

Work performed by a Moto Guzzi specialist:

      ·      Steering head lower yoke and bearings and wheel bearings replaced

·      Wheels and front forks painted

·      Full service

The tyres are Bridgestone Battlax BT45 and have done approximately 1500 miles but are probably 10+ years old. The trip meter isn’t presently working (not able to reset). Also the steering lock has been removed pending a new one being fitted.

I believe the bike is standard with the exception of these parts:

·      Period Mistral electronic ignition

·      Stainless steel brake hose

·      K&N filters on carbs

·      Rear view mirrors

·      Front fork rubber gaiters

·      Cylinder head protection bars

·      Rear shocks

·      Foam rubber hand grips

The paintwork is generally very good. The bike was ridden to the South of France last year and didn’t miss a beat. It is very capable of keeping up with modern traffic.

There is a Moto Guzzi workshop manual, a Haynes manual and a few spare parts included in the sale.

The bike isn’t a show pony but is a good usable classic. Payment by bank transfer when you collect the bike please. The bike is currently available to view in Swindon with a couple of days notice.
