Grateful Dead Fans !! ... who know a Grate ! Good Ol' Vintage-Original ! G.D.T.S. Mail Order Ticket - when they see one !!  As this here indeed is the Vintage-Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) G.D.T.S. ' Mail Order ' Ticket for the " Halloween Night ! " October 31, 1984 ( 10/30/84 ) Show at the Berkeley Community Theatre ( B.C.T. ! ) in Berkeley, California !!!  Wow ..... & Truly ! one of the ' All-Time ' Coolest ! Grateful Dead Ticket designs Ever ! ... Featuring Two ! Halloween Witches !! - Stirrin' Up some Grateful Halloween Stew !!!  Ha !  This 10/31/1984 Ticket is for the " Halloween !!! " Show of this Amazing ! 1984 Fall Tour 6-Show G.D. stand at the B.C.T. !!!!!!  And ... ( Wow !?! ) ... as-for this 6-Show G.D. stand in Berkeley ! - or, as some used to like to say ... ' Bezerkley !! ' -- the musical-caliber of this G.D. & Fan Celebration of this '84 Fall Tour Bay Area stand was nothing ! short of Grateful Dead Mid-'80's Legend !  I actually used to live in Berkeley myself - and, attended U.C. Berkeley too - so, maybe I'm just a tad biased ?!  But, nahhh .... just go & throw any of these 12 Dead Sets from this run in the Good Ol' Nak - and you'll see that my opinion here is just part of the Dead Fan majority!!  " S" for SMOKIN' !!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh my gosh, are these Shows Hot ! - and is the Band just Stellar ! ' On '.  This was a pretty-special ' event ' in itself too - for the Band to even be able to play at the BCT, considering the Venue size - so, hence ... the 6-Shows ! to at least make ticket distribution kind of fair.  In fact, the 10/27/84 Show just a few days prior actually represents the ' very-first time ' that there was ever a designated " Tapers-Section " !!!  So yeah ... ' Hail to the Tapers ' !!  Pretty cool, for sure.  And too, the rest of this killer 6-Show ! run included " This ! " Halloween Night Show ... right ' Dead-smack ' in the middle of this 10/27/1984 > 11/3/1984 Grateful Dead B.C.T. run !!  A Show that you would initially think - could Not ! be topped ... but, you know - just leave it to the Good Ol' ( '80's ! ) Grateful Dead -- as both ! of the 11/2/84 & 11/3/84 Shows on the back-end of this run are will also give your ears a Huge ! run for their money ... packed full of Power, Passion, Musical-Attack ! ... and basically, just Stellar ! Live G.D..  Or, as some might say ( including me ! ) ... Sheer-Lighting ! in a G.D. Bottle !!  Whoa !!?!!  And ... This ! " Halloween Show " delivered the Shakedown Show Opener !!! - the Lightning > Supplication !, and even a Killer Miracle ! > into the ' 1st-Ever ! ' ... " Superstitious " !!!  A Mind Left Body Jam ! ... a Huge ! Dew !! - and even Satisfaction ! for the Encore !!!  But ... then 11/2/84 came-a-knockin' as well - kicking down the Smokestack > Spoonful > Smokestack ... Iko ! -- and the Help > Slip > Franklin's !!! -- and Sailor > Saint !!  And then ... ( out of Wharf Rat ) >>> Gimmie Some Lovin' > Drums > Space > Playin' Reprise > Bertha > Good Lovin' !!! -- with even a Casey Jones Encore !!!  And this was actually the last time the Boys played Casey Jones ... until many of us caught it at R.F.K. on 6/20/1992 ?!?  Wow ...  I mean can this G.D. action even get any Hotter ??  Well, here's the answer to that question : 11/3/84 !!!  After a 1st Set that delivered a Hot ! Meet Me At The Bottom - and, a jaw-dropping Music Never Stopped > Deal ! 1st Set Closer ... things got Spooky !  And spooky, in a Real-Grate ! way ... my goodness.  I'll just recite the 2nd set here for you - which, may I add ... does not even tell 1/2 of this story ...  Grateful DEAD !!!  >>> Stranger > Cumberland, Gloria ! > Do It In The Road !! > Jam ! > Drums > Space > Uncle John's Band > Mr. Fantasy > Throwing Stones > Lovelight !  With a sweet little Brokedown Encore ! to put this Legendary ! run to rest.  Wow !!!!!!  " Dave's Picks " should pick from this run - without any ! question at all.  If you haven't heard this little Fall Tour '84 run of Sheer ! G.D. Magic in Berkeley, well ... you really need too.  While the simple fact of the matter is... this was an unprecedented 6-Night! run at the B.C.T. - where the Grateful Dead were delivering Hot!... Hotter!!... & Even-Hotter !!! Shows ! as this '84 Fall Tour run at the BCT went on !!  The Boys were on a Mission ! for certain, and they were Non-Stop ! in delivering the Fire !!!  Pure-Heat Just Everywhere ! throughout this Halloween Night ! Show, and all the way through this 6-Show run ... Wow !!!  Constant-Deliveries ! Straight !! from that oh so-special Early > Mid'80's G.D. Hot-Zone !!!!!  And too ... most-certainly one of the Absolute-Coolest ! GDTS " Themed " Ticket Designs there ever was ... " Halloween Witches !!! " - Stirrin' Up The Grateful ! Witch Stew !!! ... for, without any doubt at all ... one of the Hottest ! Mid-'80's G.D. runs - ever ...  6-Shows at ... The B.C.T. !!!!!!  And too ... to my knowledge ( I'm pretty-darn sure ... ) This ! was the Very-First ( 1st ! ) " Debut " of this " Halloween Themed " Grateful Dead Ticket Services ( GDTS ) ' Mailorder ' Ticket Design.  As I believe it was only-used one other time Ever ?!? by The Grateful Dead ! ... for 10/31/1991 - on a Ticket Yellow & Blue in Colo r!?  So yep, here you go my fellow Dead Fans ... 1984 !
