Grateful Dead Fans ... Whoa !!! - the Cap Centre ! run in Maryland ! on the Spring '90 Tour !!!  Red-Hot G.D. !!  And this Pass which I am proud to offer ... is the " Phil's 50 ! " Backstage Pass from the 3/15/90 Show ... featuring the Running ! & Flaming !! Eyeball !!! - by Rick Griffin !!!!  This one ' Means ! ' Grateful Dead !!!  This is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) from the March 15, 1990 ( 3/15/1990 ) Show at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland on the Spring '90 Tour !!!  What a both Groundbreaking ! & Historic !! 1990 Spring Tour run for the Band !  And ... this particular Show ' counted ' so much to all - both the Fans ! & the Band !! ... that is was actually pro-released way back in 1997 !  And, these were the ' way-back ' days of G.D. releases - where just about all you could get were Dick's Picks !  And, of course ... there's nothing wrong with that - at all !!!  But, point being - it was a much ' slower ' time for G.D. releases.  And, the fact that this one got selected for release all the way back in '97 ... makes my point for me !  And that point being ... This Show is Hot !!!  And, in fact ... so was this Whole-Entire-Run ! -- 3/14/90 ! - 3/15/90 !! & 3/16/90 !!!  And ... 3/14/90 & 3/16/90 have even been released now too ! - Finally !!! - as Shows included in the Spring '90 & Spring '90 ' TOO' Box Sets !  So ... Yes !!! -- a Cap Centre '90 " Hat Trick !!! " -- which of course, makes us Very-Happy Deadheads !!!  So, if you were indeed fortunate enough to catch one of these ' Virtually-Magical ! ' 16 East Coast dates on this '90 Spring Tour run, then - you know just exactly ! what I'm talking about.  The eager-anticipation of the Fans was at a new High !, and the Energy of the Band was Infectious ! - as they were downright " ON !!! ".  Or, as Bobby Weir even said himself - not too long ago ... " On the Spring 1990 Tour ... We were Hot ! "  Hah !!  I only saw one of these Cap Centre '90 Shows, but boy am I glad I did - Whew !!  I caught the " Loose Lucy " kick-down night on 3/14/90 ( the Spring '90 " Tour-Opener ! " ) - the night before this one & what a Historic ! G.D. concert that was.  On this 3/15/90 Night ( completely enshrined in G.D. History - with the fantastic '97 release ! ) was indeed Phil Lesh's " 50th Birthday " - and 3/16/90 was no slouch either in it's own self - simply a 3-night run of Grateful Dead Magic !!!  In addition to dropping the " Loose Lucy ! " bomb on the Deadhead-Faithful ( for the 1st time in 14 years ! - Since '74 !! ), the Band also had a few other Rare ! & Smokin'-Hot !! tricks up their collective sleeves - as Easy To Love You ! - Revolution !! & Black Throated Wind !!! were also dusted off from the ' Old-Repertoire ' Vault, and bestowed upon the Lucky ! Dead Fans with some impressive Rockin' precision !!  Because this Cap Centre run opened this East Coast leg, the Band wasted absolutely no time and laid-down all 4 of these tunes on this Maryland stop !  Just amazing stuff ...  I'll never forget just how hard I had to work the ' situation ' at hand to make seeing that 3/14 show a reality -- as it required buying $60 scalper ticket ( a fairly decent amount for a G.D. ticket way-back in 1990 ! ) out of the back of the Washington Post ! & even borrowing Mom's Car too !  But yours-truly pulled it all off ( thank you, thank you ! ), and next thing I knew I was basking in the Glory ! of a Playin' > Uncle John's > Drums > Space > Dear Mr. Fantasy > Miracle !!!  Most Dead Fans that I have spoken with over the years ( who were familiar with this run ) feel that the 3/15 night was pound-for-pound the best -- being Phil's " 50th " and all.  I guess the Band felt that way too, seeing that they released it 1st way-back in 1997 !  And ... for the extra Grate ! part ... just look at this Pass !!!  And yep, you guessed it - well, hopefully you did ! ... as this one features an Artwork Design by the one & only Rick Griffin !!!  The Running ! & Flaming !! Eyeball !!!  Wow ... one of the Coolest ! G.D. Backstage Pass designs of All-Time, and as far as " Rare " goes - this 3/15/90 is one of the hardest to find from this Cap Centre run - and from the Entire ! Spring '90 Tour - and especially ! these days - close to 30-Years Later !!?! ... by a way-long-shot.  Whoa~oa~oah I want to know~ow ... Where does the Time Go !!?  It seems just like yesterday hanging out in that Cap Centre lot, I'll tell 'ya ... and heck, we might have even met there ?!  Dead Tour ! ... Spring '90 !! at the Cap Centre !!! -- The ' Big 50 ! ' for the King ! of the Phil Zone !!!  --  Enjoy !!!!!
