Wow !  Lovers of ' Real ' Music & Real Musicianship ! ... if you haven't yet, you may seriously want to acquire this release !  This one is indeed quite under the radar, but - that's these days ... as I distinctly remember when this one came out in 1994 - and it created quite a stir !  Especially in the Grateful Dead Fan Universe, and also the community then - which is often referred to today as the " Jam-Band " Scene.  I mean this was an Impressive ! " Who's Who " in Music that Rob Wasserman pulled together for this ' Trios ' project, and without any question at all ... his dedication & efforts on this one were fruitful ! - to say the very-very least -- R.I.P. Rob.  I mean just look at the list of those that contributed - typed up above !  Even when I was typing that just a second ago, I was still ! like ... ' Wow !?! '.  Well, I'm not sure about you & your own personal " Wasserman " Experience ! - but ... the Very 1st Time I saw Rob ' Live ' myself - was with the " Bob & Rob " Show in 1991 !!  Bob Weir & Rob Wasserman at the ( Legendary ! ) Merriweather Post Pavilion ( M.P.P. ! ) in Columbia, Maryland - and, it was ... as you are likely already aware - a " Duo " Live Acoustic Project ... with Weir on Acoustic Guitar, and Rob on the Upright Bass !  And ... Wow !!!?!!!  Those guys just flat out ' Smoked-It ! ' So-Incredibly-Hard, that I was right back at M.P.P. - the very-next year in 1992 ! ... to see them just Light-It-Up ! Again !!  And, the 1st Tour through - it was also called ( maybe billed-as ' loosely ' ) as the " Scaring The Children " Tour, which I & many others obviously found some really-great ( " Grate ! " ) humor in !  But, point being ... this Live Show was no joke at all - it offered plenty of Grateful Dead, Weir / Barlow songs, etc. - Bob Weir Band - Bobby & The Midnites material, and all of that Great Stuff ! - but, it also really shined their incredibly unique & synergistic Power ! as a ' Duo ' extremely-well ... so, from that day on - I was a Rob Fan !  I was aware of Rob's Bass Power & Precision from the Lou Reed Days ( New York '88 ) - but, this obviously took it to a whole new level.  As I was already a Weir Fan for years before, obviously.  And I was also So-Grateful ! to see Wasserman involved in the early ' Ratdog ' Days - which, unfortunately didn't last ( maybe like '95 > '01 ? ).  But, as far as Solo-Projects, and out of the ordinary releases go - with " Special Guests ! " - well, this is one that I'm pretty sure he was most-proud of ! ... to say the least !!  And, the really cool thing is that I bet Everyone ! involved was pretty proud of this Project, because it is just loaded to the gills with Remarkable ! Song Material, Solid Studio Deliveries, Great Recordings, and just sheer Musical Talent !  And ... naturally, it is also really neat to hear just how hard & how naturally these Great Musicians are loving working together - to really live up to & surpass each others expectations.  Definitely a ' Must-Hear ' and really a " Must-Have " CD in the Good Ol' Music Collection ! ... from that " Awesome ! " Early/Mid-1990's Era of " Great-Music ! ". -- Enjoy !!!!!
