Hi, This auction is for a fabulous Crazy Quilt top topper made of old neck ties, old ribbons, and scraps of silk and satin. I usually am not a fan of crazy quilts. Too much chaos with the mixture of shapes, fabric patterns, and fabric textures. I love this crazy quilt because it is made in squares with a uniform matching pattern of squares. The quilt has beautiful pieces of ribbon mingled with beautifully patterned neck tie fabrics. Many patterns: plaids, oriental designs, stripes, florals. The beautiful and unique geometric crazy quilt would add style and color to any room. Purchased at an Estate Sale in Chagrin Falls,Ohio. All hand stitched onto square fabric pieces for backing and then the squares were hand stitched together . Very good condition: very sturdy, clean, no fading, a few areas of failing black ribbon that is consistent with the age. No other holes, no stains, circa 1910 to 1920. Measures 68” by 68”. The photos should show you the rest of the details. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION FOR YOURSELF. Any questions, please email me before bidding. USPS Medium Box Priority Shipping is $18.40 which includes tracking and insurance up to a hundred dollars. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions.
