Ten 8vo volumes in original light green illustrated cloth over boards. Gilt titles. Frontispieces and illustrations by HM Brock have tissue guards. Title pages printed in blue and gold. Small chapter headings at the start of each volume. Minor wear and bumping to extremities. Some of the volumes have a small vintage bookstore label (one of which is only partial) inset on lower left corner of the front endpaper. A couple of minor starts, including dry hinges some of which have been expertly tightened a bit with wheat paste. Light toning to edges of text blocks. In exceptional condition. Most of the backings remain solid though always still handle with care. First printing.
