RARE King GEORGE VI & Elizabeth U.S. Commemorative 1939 Visit Glass Plate.

Diameter 12". Celebrates the first time a reigning British monarch visited America. Features a clear, octagon shaped plate with a frosted center embossed with the profile portrait bust of the king and Elizabeth wearing royal crowns. There is a U.S. coat-of-arms, a branch, stars, and 3 arrows in the center. The outer edge is divided into 8 parts displaying 4 shield types: a harp, lions, a dragon, and one lion. Museum quality; currently the Brooklyn Museum in N.Y. has one on display as well. FOSTORIA glass.

The plate does have some minor scratches but it does not affect the authenticity. Please review pictures.
