Please read Wikipedia for further information. MBW was an AVANTGARDE PERSON and an AVANTGARDE WOMAN and an AVANTGARDE PHOTOGRAPHER. She was the first female photographer in the US Army, she was in Moscow when Hitler attacked Russia 1941, she was in KZ Buchenwald after its liberation, she took many photographs of architecture and (industrial) buildings in the style of NEW PHOTOGRAPHY of the 1920ies and she is co-founder of the famous LIFE MAGAZINE. She photographed various ICONS OF PHOTOGRAPHY HISTORY in the first half of 20th century.
