Fulper signed 3-handled vase in what is commonly called a bullet form. Stands just under 7 inches tall, with a diameter of about 4 and 3/4 inches at the widest part. Great design with multiple colors. Greens, blues and pinks predominate. Underlying clay color shows through on the edges of the handles, which is an intentional Fulper design feature. No chips, cracks, repairs or damage.
This vase has texture in places where the glaze pooled, especially below the handles, and there are occasional burst glaze bubbles, typically or mostly pin prick size. I believe any or all irregularities visible on the surface were in the making, and nothing in this regard is post production. I would characterize the glaze as matte with a slight sheen.
Gloppy, drippy, textured, even volcanic - there are many ways to describe this complex glaze. A great piece for the serious collector.
This vase has good weight so that is reflected in the quoted shipping price.
