This set of 15 German postcards features the Tannenberg Memorial in East Prussia, commemorating the Battle of Tannenberg during the Inter-War period. The postcards are original old postcards and artist printed cards.


The set includes 1 original Tannenberg Memorial postcard, 1 army camp in the building (around 1913), 2 original Hindenburg postcards. 3 re-prints of the Tannenberg Krug (destroyed 1945 and some Memorial insights! These postcards are perfect for collectors interested in militaria, corps and regiments, and famous places. The postcards are hardly to find at such a low price!

It shows the Tannenbergkrug, the famous pub restaurant, once located left opposite the front entrance of the Tannenberg Memorial.

The multi card includes 2 views of the memorial. Left corner the front and right corner the left side with back entrance. But the right side of the memorial had also a small side entrance.

The architects of this once fantastic building left their traces also in Oranjenburg (also interesting due to the 1st German concentration camp, Sachsenhausen) (interior refurbishment of the big Evangelical church, and in Berlin Fronau, also a church building. Another similar to the Hindenburg tower entrance of the memorial building, can be found in Saaland. Have been to all places myself!

The remains of Paul from Hindenburg to Western Germany.

He is now buried in a Tomb in Marburg, Germany, together with his wife.


General Field-Marshal,  and later president of Germany defeat 2 Russian Armies attacking Germany 1914, and liberated Germany from Russia. Germany funded 1916/17 the Polish Republic,  as Poland was until then part of the Russian Empire!


He is one of the most famous people in War History.

He passed away 1934, and received a glorious burial in the Tannenberg Memorial.

Some of the Memorial and graves around are still visible and maintained .

Well worth visiting!
