Up for auction today is a NEW and SEALED Region 1 DVD of the 2018 USA Indie Doc by director chuck smith 

titled 'barbara rubin: & the exploding NY underground'. a controversial avant-garde filmmaker who directed

the 'Christmas On Earth' short, she was an influence on Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol, and especially Jonas Mekas,

who maintained letters, films and other memorabilia. Rubin eventually converted to Hasidic Judaism and moved

to rural france to live a different life, passing away in 1980. this film uses memorabilia from Mekas' estate to 

create this tribute doc. this was a NY Times Critics pic, won a DOC NYC awards, and screened at HotDoc, 

Thessaloniki Doc, IFFR. an excellent buy for the fan of the New York Avant-Garde arts scene. Bonuses: tribute 

to Jonas mekas short, trailer. MVD Visual/Juno MVD2515D in standard DVD case. This is a Region 1 DVD, 

good for standard US DVD players.
