A single paged indentured property deed dated 17 February 1710, during the reign of Queen Anne.

The agreement is between Thomas Lamb of Colchester, in the county of Essex, grocer, son and heir of Thomas Lamb, late of Colchester aforesaid, grocer, deceased of the one part, and Thomas Smith of the city of London, merchant of the other part.

The consideration for the agreement is the sum of £160 of current money of Great Britain.

The property is referred to as that messuage or tenement with the outhouses, warehouses, shops, sellers, yards, gardens, and appurtenances whatsoever to the said messuage belonging to the same, late in the occupation of said Thomas Lamb deceased, his assigns , and now in the occupations of Sarah Lamb, widow and John Everard, gentlemen, and situated and being in the parish of Saint Botolph in l Colchester aforesaid, and all the ways, Waters, watercourses, commodities, and appurtenances whatsoever to the said, messuage or tenement and premises, or any of them or part or parcel there of belonging or taken to be appertaining.

The bottom margin contains the signature of Thomas Lamb.

The left margin contains a blind blue duty stamp.

The document appears to be on vellum. The document is in good condition for its age with obvious fold lines, and browning. Wear in the fold lines, particularly where they meet. No tears. Please see photos.
