Maker: Finely detailed craftsmanship has always been a hallmark of KPM, or Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur, Germany's iconic ceramics firm that was founded in 1763 and is still producing exquisite porcelain today.

This wonderful set of 6 footed porcelain cups is the perfect illustration of how that Berlin company takes something basic and turns it to magic. The top quality porcelain, the artistry of the subtle decoration and the quality of the workmanship combine to make this a very beautiful set.

Marks and age: All 6 cups are marked with a blue underglaze KPM scepter mark. Four also have a green "Made in Germany U.S. Zone" mark that dates their production to between 1946 and 1952.

Design: The pattern features raised flowers and leaves on fine thin cream colored porcelain. It appears to be part of the company's Feldblume series, designed by Trude Petri in 1939, but that is not confirmed.

Saucers are not included in this listing.

Size: The cups are 4 1/4 inches wide at the opening, 1 3/8 inches wide at the base and 2 inches tall. The set weighs 1 pound 1 ounce.

Condition: All 6 cups are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. One cup has a small spot of gold paint under the glaze near the edge - that was created in the manufacturing process and is shown in the photo with the red arrow.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
