So how does the lens work the metering with the camera?
Use on Av (Aperture priority) for automatic metering - You adjust the aperture so if you let in a lot of light (for example F2.8) the camera will select a fast shutter speed, if you let in little light (for example- F16 ) the camera will select a slow shutter speed.
Hint = Basic rule with lenses was always try to keep the shutter speed higher than the mm length of lens you are using to avoid camera shake
Use on M (Manual) for the creative side and studio work where you select the shutter speed and aperture yourself using a light meter or guess work.
and what about the focusing?
The focusing is manual, so you turn the lens till the image is in focus

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please Note;
Will fit Canon EF (That's all Film SLR's and some Digital SLR's) full frame cameras
(This also includes the Canon 1D series, 10D and D60)
Unlike some other sellers on here we DO KNOW what this lens fits and what it does not, you cannot just put a mount converter upon a lens and say this fits everything, this lens has been rebuilt to remove sticking out contacts and metal levers so there is not danger to your camera also checked to make sure it lasts another 20+ years
Using the wrong combination of lens / mount and not being set up correctly may cost you - your camera mirror, electronic contacts or your main circuits - or even all 3 together
Did you know ? ;
That old mechanical lenses generally have optics every bit as good as their modern equivalents and with this adaptation you can use it on your Canon mount camera.
Manually set the lens aperture as required.
Use the camera's Av mode for automatic exposure, or Manual exposure for flash or studio work.
