A beautiful Georgian (GEO III) solid silver tea kettle stand, and burner fully hallmarked for London 1779, by the silversmith Peter Desergnes or Devese (see the pics from Jackson, page 213 for the year 1772 and Grimwade n. 2153).

Hallmarks are also struck on the cover of the burner (the only detachable part) with the lion passant and the maker mark. Clear ghost hallmarks inside the burner.

It was made in the Renaissance style mainly by casting. The three legs represent three different characters, maybe including the client (that's only my opinion), as usual in Renaissance era.

Very good condition.

Dimensions:  14,5 cm tall; 17 cm at the base. The lower ring is 9cm wide and can host kettles from 7 to 8 cm at the base. The second ring is 13 cm at the top.

It weighs an impressive 740 g.
