A very rare kit built model of the SECR (South Eastern & Chatham Railway) Wainwright Class E or F1, with superheated boiler, in Southern Railway Malachite green of post-WW2 finished as number 505. There is quite a lot of overlap between these Chatham 4-4-0s which received a range of different boilers during Southern Railway service; I believe 505 was classified as a superheated / rebuilt E class.

This model is very well constructed (most likely from a South Eastern Finecast kit) and quite nicely hand painted / finished. It runs fairly well, and the motor seems quite strong; but one of the bogie wheels (2nd pair) is set a little too wide for 00 gauge track and so the bogie tends to derail with movement. Easily fixed by adjusting the 'back to back' measurement (pushing the wheels in on the axles). The rest of the wheels sit fine on 16.5mm gauge track, and the loco responds well under analogue control.

The model will be well packed for postage, in a proper kit box. Reluctant sale of a handsome locomotive! All best

The video showing the loco in operation seems not to be working within the eBay listing - can be viewed at:

(As mentioned in the description, the bogie has a tendency to derail due to one of the wheel back-to-backs being set too wide)
